The service

Flashlyn lets you create short links that redirect to addresses you choose. You can use it without an account; with a free account you also get folders, stats and more. The service is provided “as is”, without guarantees of availability.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the links you create and for where they lead. Don’t use Flashlyn for:

• phishing, fake login pages, scams or fraud;
• malware, viruses or unwanted software;
• spam or mass unsolicited messages;
• illegal content, content that exploits minors, or content that harms others;
• infringing copyright or other people’s rights;
• hiding the real destination of another redirect or tracking people without consent.

Moderation

Our moderators can disable or delete links and suspend accounts that break these rules, without notice. Links reported by several people may be paused automatically until a moderator reviews them. Anyone can report a link from its waiting page or at /report.

Levels and invites

Levels (Lvl 1, Lvl 2, Lvl 3) are free. They are calculated automatically from the clicks on your links and the users you invited in the last 30 days, and they go up or down with that activity. Requirements and perks may change over time. Clicks from bots, fake traffic, self-clicking, buying clicks, or fake or duplicate accounts created to raise a level or count as invites are not allowed: our team can remove a level, not count invites, or suspend the account. Staff can also grant a level for a period of time.

If you connect your Discord account, our bot gives you the role of your level on our Discord server and keeps it in sync with the site. It may also send you private messages about your account, like level changes and a weekly summary of your clicks; you can turn them off with /level on Discord.

Custom link pages follow the same rules as links: no misleading, offensive or illegal content, and no attempts to impersonate other people or services. Our moderators can disable a custom page at any time; your links keep working without it.

Accounts

Keep your password and recovery key safe: we don’t use email and can’t send reset links. You can delete your account at any time from your account page; this deletes your links too.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the service means you accept the current version.
