Is Flashlyn free?
Yes, completely. Short links and custom names are free even without an account; a free account adds folders, full click stats, QR codes, passwords, scheduled links and expiry dates. The levels are free too: you earn them with the clicks on your links and the friends you invite.
What are levels?
Lvl 1, Lvl 2 and Lvl 3 unlock extra perks for free, like no waiting page, QR codes in your colors and your own link page. Your level follows the clicks on your links and the friends you invite in the last 30 days, and updates by itself.
Do I need an account?
No. You can shorten links without signing up. A free account lets you edit your links, add passwords, start and expiry dates and click limits, download QR codes, keep everything in folders, see detailed stats and use the API. Links you created in your browser move into your account automatically.
Can I choose the name of my short link?
Yes. Type the name you want, for example flashlyn.com/summer-sale, as long as nobody else is using it.
Why is there a waiting page before the redirect?
Free links show a waiting page of a few seconds that tells visitors where they are going. It keeps the service free and protects people from unexpected destinations. Links of users with a level redirect immediately.
Do short links expire?
No, unless you decide so. With a free account you can set an expiry date or a click limit on any link, pause it, or delete it at any time. Links created without an account stop working after 30 days and are deleted for good, with their stats, 7 days later; in an account they never expire.
Can I schedule a link to start working later?
Yes, with a free account. Set a start date and time when you create or edit the link: until then visitors see a “coming soon” page with a countdown, the destination stays hidden and no clicks are counted. Right on time the link starts working by itself. Perfect for launches, sales and announcements.
Can I see how many people clicked my link?
Yes. Links made without an account show clicks per day and top sources on their private page. With a free account every link has full stats: clicks per day, unique visitors, sources, countries, devices, browsers and QR code scans.
How do I check where a short link goes?
Add a + at the end of any Flashlyn link, for example flashlyn.com/abc+, to see its destination without opening it.
How do I report a malicious link?
Use the Report button on the link page or go to flashlyn.com/report. Our moderators review every report and disable links used for phishing, malware or scams.
